Breast cancer is a widespread disease, but does not impact all women equally. The death rate from breast cancer for Black women is 40% higher than non-Hispanic Whites. Black women also have a higher incidence of genetic mutations putting them at risk for breast cancer, a 2X higher rate of triple negative breast cancer, and a younger peak incidence of breast cancer.
The upcoming webinar, “Breast Cancer, Race and Risk” will examine race as a risk factor for breast cancer, how breast cancer impacts Black women, and how to optimize and improve care for high-risk patients through personalized, convenient care.
